The method for call forwarding based a session initiation protocol (SIP) using a set-top box comprises steps of associating a called video conferencing set-top box to a called user terminal on an application server; assigning the number of the target call forwarding terminal corresponding to the called video conferencing set-top box or called user terminal; initiating, by a calling user terminal, a called user terminal or called video conferencing set-top box call; initiating the application server by the calling user terminal; once the called user terminal and the called video conferencing set-top box receive calls from the application server, displaying an incoming call notification request on the video interface of the video conferencing set-top box and selecting a call forwarding function based on the incoming call notification request displayed on the video interface of the called video conferencing set-top box.EFFECT: enabling use of multimedia service applications by a fixed telephone network user.10 cl, 4 dwg |
