PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid stop of an internal combustion engine by rotating a cam shaft even when a roller is detached in a tappet of a fuel supply pump.SOLUTION: In a fuel supply pump, when a roller 18 in a virtual state under which a shoe 19 stops at a top dead point reaches a bottom dead point, an inequality H<d is satisfied. Thereby, even when the roller 18 is detached from the shoe 19, a guide 5 can block the roller 18 from being excessively decentered or rotated, so as to prevent a corner of the roller 18 from contacting an inner wall of a housing 11. Thereby, even when the roller 18 is detached, a cam shaft can be rotated, so as to avoid stop of an internal combustion engine. |
