[Problem] To provide: a titanium-containing granular powder, which has good moldability into honeycomb structures, exhibits high abrasion resistance and shows little decrease in specific surface area after baking; a method for the production of the granular powder; a honeycomb-type catalyst for treating exhaust gas, said honeycomb-type catalyst being obtained from the granular powder; and a method for the production of the honeycomb-type catalyst. [Solution] A titanium-containing granular powder which comprises, at a preset ratio, a composite oxide containing titanium together with tungsten and/or molybdenum, and at least one kind of additive selected from among a nitrogen compound containing tungsten or molybdenum, a sulfur compound containing tungsten or molybdenum and a chlorine compound containing tungsten or molybdenum. A honeycomb-type catalyst for treating exhaust gas which is obtained by molding the granular powder into a honeycomb structure. |
