PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of precisely protecting a remote side occupant in simple constitution.SOLUTION: An air bag device M is mounted on a vehicle constructed by arranging a plurality of seats side by side, and when impact force is applied from one side in the arranging direction of the seats, the air bag device can protect a remote side occupant seated on a remote side seat remote from the impact force application side. The air bag device comprises: an air bag 16 which is folded and stored in a backrest part 2 of the remote side seat and deployed and inflated to cover the impact force application side of the remote side occupant by making inflation gas flow in the interior; a support member 26 which is stored in the backrest part 2 and projected taking the deployed and inflated air bag 16 as a driving source to thereby support the impact force application side in the completely inflated air bag 16; and a flexible cover member 23 disposed in the air bag 16, which can cover the impact force application side of the support member 26 from the start of movement to the completion of movement. |
