PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit for an endoscope, which prevents significant load from being applied to a connection part between a drive board and a flexible board of the imaging unit when a curved part is operated to curve.SOLUTION: An imaging unit 10 comprises: a CCD 54 provided on the leading end part 24 side of an insertion part 21; a driving board 55 with an electronic component 57 mounted thereon; and a flexible board 56 including electric wiring. A leading-end-side space 25S defined by the leading end part 24 and a leading-end curved frame 25f, which is free from a change in the shape of an internal space, resulting from a curving movement of a curved part 25 includes: a connection part 58 configured to connect the basal-end side of the driving board 55 and the leading-end-side of the flexible board 56; sealing parts 61 and 62 configured to insulate and cover part of the flexible board 56 and part of the driving board 55, or part of the flexible board 56 and the entire driving board 55; and at least one curved part provided nearer to the basal end than the connection part of the flexible board 56 and nearer to the leading end than the curved part, and bent in a direction perpendicular to a plane. |
