PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent consumables from being used up before satisfying expectation of a user, while maintaining quality.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a print execution unit 116 which forms an image on a medium with developer; a printing post-processing unit 117 which calculates a developer amount indicating the amount of remaining developer or the amount of developer used, and calculates an image-formation cumulative value which is the number of media on which images are formed by the print execution unit 116; an expected printed sheet management unit 111 which calculates the expected number of printed sheet, which is the number of media on which images are to be formed for the developer amount; and a deviation rate management unit 113 which calculates a deviation rate between the expected number of printed sheet and the image-formation cumulative value. The print execution unit 116 saves developer when the deviation rate is equal to or larger than a predetermined first value. |
