<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily operable method capable of maintaining freshness of a plant for a long period.SOLUTION: A freshness retaining method for a plant is described as follows: a vegetable, a fruit or an ornamental flower is collected, wax or the like is applied to the cut surface of a stalk, the plant is put into a polyethylene bag, a styrene foam box or a cardboard box having a coated inner part, a catalyst comprising palladium and copper carried on a porous material such as active carbon is also put therein, and further carbon dioxide is sealed therein.</p> |
