In the case of a paver (finisher) (F) with a beam (B) which has at least one exchangeably attached tool (E) for working the material to be placed, the tool (E) being a strip with external working faces (18, 22, 23) which lies transversely to the travelling direction, the tool (E) comprises at least one wear part (V) having the working faces (18, 22, 23) and at least one support part (C) supporting the wear part (V).
