PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load that can improve uneven wear resistance while keeping wet performance.SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire for heavy load includes at a tread portion 2 at least one main groove 3 extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction and a plurality of transverse grooves 7 extending in a direction of crossing with the main groove 3; and has a land portion 8 between transverse grooves 7 adjacent in the tire circumferential direction and a pitch P as a unit pattern formed of one of the transverse grooves 7. The tread portion 2 has a land ratio of 70-80% and includes 40-50 pitches P. The transverse grooves 7, whose groove widths W2 in the tire circumferential direction are equal to 5-15% of length L3 of the pitches P in the tire circumferential direction, are inclined toward the tire circumferential direction at angles α of 45-85°. |
