PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for laser transmission welding, a method for laser transmission welding, and a receptacle which is produced thereby and is closed by a sheet.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a receptacle (2) which is closed by a sheet, a method for producing such a receptacle (2) by laser transmission welding, and an apparatus suitable to implement the method. The method and the apparatus are configured in such a way that a weld seam (28) is formed between a wall structure of the receptacle (2) and the sheet (3) so as to be wider than end faces (23) of the wall structure.
