PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device that enables efficient ignition with a limited high-frequency power.SOLUTION: An ignition device 1 having a high-frequency generator 20, a high-frequency amplifier 21, and an ignition part 10 including a coaxial resonance part 12 consisting of an inside conductor discharge part 13 and an outside conductor 122, comprises: an input antenna 24 connected with an inside conductor of a coaxial cable 22 in a coaxial connector 23; and an inside conductor antenna part 111 provided so as to extend to the base end side of a central electrode discharge part 13. An input resonance part dielectric body 110 having a predetermined relative dielectric constant &egr;r is provided. An input resonance part 11 is provided to make the input antenna 24 and the inside conductor antenna part 111 protrude into the input resonance part dielectric body 110 by a predetermined length, and to make the input antenna 24 and the inside conductor antenna part 111 to be arranged so as to be separated from each other in a radial direction and/or in an axial direction by predetermined distances Land Lbetween the two antennas in terms of coordinates on horizontal and vertical axes. |
