PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine control device capable of determining electrification directions of currents electrifying phases of coils of a rotary electric machine in simple configuration, and an electrically driven power steering apparatus employing the same.SOLUTION: Comparators 41-43 of a rotary electric machine control device 1 acquires phase terminal voltages Vu, Vv, Vw which are voltages of contacts 401-403 with upper MOSs 21-23 and lower MOSs 24-26. When switching ON/OFF of the upper MOSs 21-23 and lower MOSs 24-26, on the basis of the terminal voltages Vu, Vv, Vw during a dead time period DT in which paired upper MOSs 21-23 and lower MOSs 24-26 are turned off together, a control section 50 determines electrification directions of phase currents Iu, Iv, Iw electrifying an U-phase coil 11, a V-phase coil 12 and a W-phase coil 13 of phases corresponding to the terminal voltages Vu, Vv, Vw. Thus, the electrification directions of the phase currents Iu, Iv, Iw can be determined in simple configuration. |
