The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus to control traffic. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method to control a traffic is configured to comprise the steps of: receiving process information and session information; identifying an application using the process information; and controlling the traffic of the identified application. The present invention can identify the application using the session information and the process information without performing a pattern matching to a data packet, and perform a traffic control more efficiently by controlling traffic of the identified application. |
