PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of performing switching of a drive condition by one hand gripping the power tool, and capable of avoiding switching of the power tool to another drive condition unintentionally during work. ! SOLUTION: A motion sensor 23 (for example, an acceleration sensor) is provided at a power tool 10. When gripping the power tool 10 and performing a hand operation in one out of six directions, front/back, left/right and up/down, the hand operation (motion) is detected by the motion sensor 23. A control unit performs one operation corresponding to the motion detected by the motion sensor 23 out of: switching of a rotational speed (that is, switching of a gear ratio) of a chuck part 17 on which a tip tool 16 is mounted; switching of a rotational direction of the chuck part 17; and an ON/OFF switching of an illumination part 21. !
