PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet light emitting device capable of preventing a holding member from being affected by the ultraviolet light emitted by a luminous body while preventing distortion from occurring in an optical system. ! SOLUTION: An ultraviolet light emitting device 1 comprises: a luminous body 3 provided on a substrate 2; an optical system 4 provided in a position facing the luminous body 3; a metal cylinder 5 holding the optical system 4; and a holding member 6 holding the metal cylinder 5 on the substrate 2.
