The purpose of the present invention is to quickly and generically analyze an inverse problem and easily image information for the interior of an object. A scattering tomography method includes a step of emitting waves onto an object from a plurality of transmission antenna elements disposed on a curved face, a step of receiving scattered waves by way of a plurality of reception antenna elements disposed on a curved face, and a step of reconstructing, from scattered wave data indicating the scattered waves received by way of the reception antenna elements, an image pertaining to interior information for the object. In the step of reconstructing the image, a function (ø) for reconstructing the image pertaining to the interior information of the object is preset, an equation which an asymptotic equation of the function satisfies is constructed, an imaging function (&rgr;), which is obtained from the scattered wave data by solving the equation, is derived, and an image pertaining to the interior information of the object is reconstructed by the imaging function. |
