PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure insulation of both a positive electrode and a negative electrode when the distance between these is decreased in generating hydrogen-containing water.SOLUTION: An electrode 10 for generating hydrogen-containing water includes: a positive electrode 11 which is a cylindrical conductor and has a plurality of openings on the side part; an insulator 13 which is provided on the outer periphery of the positive electrode 11 and has a plurality of openings 13H; and a negative electrode 12 which is a cylindrical conductor provided on the outer periphery of the insulator 13 and in contact with the insulator 13 and has a plurality of openings 12H on the side part. The openings 11H in the positive electrode 11 and the openings 12H in the negative electrode 12 are larger than the openings 13H in the insulator 13.
