PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, a method of controlling the communication system, and program capable of preventing a user from not knowing what the user has to do by giving advice to the user regarding next operation.SOLUTION: A communication system comprises: a server 1; and a plurality of communication terminals 2 capable of communicating with the server 1. On the basis of each kind of parameter indicating a state of a town formed within a game where users of the plurality of communication terminals 2 can play on the communication system, the server 1 transmits advice information 132 for suggesting next operation regarding the town to the communication terminals 2, and the communication terminals 2 display a screen including the received advice information 132.
