Provided is an opto-electric hybrid module wherein the alignment between an optical element of an optical element unit and a core of an optical waveguide of an opto-electric hybrid module is easy and accurate. This opto-electric hybrid module is provided with a connector (1) in which an optical element (13) is mounted, and an opto-electric hybrid unit (2) in which an electric circuit board (E) and an optical waveguide (W) are stacked, the connector (1) is provided with an alignment protrusion (1a) formed at a predetermined position while being positioned with respect to the optical element (13), the opto-electric hybrid unit (2) is provided with a fitting hole (2a) formed at a predetermined position while being positioned with respect to an end surface of a core (25) of the optical waveguide (W) in order to fit the alignment protrusion (1a) therein, the connector (1) and the opto-electric hybrid unit (2) are joined while the alignment protrusion (1a) of the connector (1) is fitted in the fitting hole (2a) of the opto-electric hybrid unit (2), and thanks to this joining, the optical element (13) and the core (25) are aligned to be able to propagate light therebetween. |
