PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system for achieving automatic detection of a patient's body profile and patient's intelligent positioning.SOLUTION: An imaging system discriminates the position of a patient by decoding an optically identified code provided on a scan support cradle, and obtains a distance from an interest location of the patient to a bore of a gantry by processing means in an operation console. Further, the imaging system detects the patient's body profile by a light transmitter and a light receiver which are disposed in a pair on both sides of the bore of the gantry, and automatically moves a scan support table and/or the scan support cradle in the directions of height and width. Positioning of the patient can be more quickly and accurately achieved by using this imaging system. |
