The present invention provides a method and device for synchronizing video live broadcast, relates to the technical field of network, and can improve the user experience of the video live broadcast service. The method comprises: sending a video stream synchronization request to a network side equipment; receiving a video stream playing position synchronization parameter sent from the network side equipment, wherein the video stream playing position synchronization parameter comprises a playing position parameter of the time for sending the video stream and a System Frame Number (SFN) of the time for sending the video stream; acquiring the SFN of the time for receiving the video stream; and according to the SFN of the time for sending the video stream and the SFN of the time for receiving the video stream, adjusting the playing position parameter of the time for sending the video stream, so as to coincide with a current playing position parameter of the network side equipment. The solution of the embodiments of the present invention is suitable for being used when a network video live broadcast is being synchronized.
