The invention relates to a kit of elements that are especially designed to carry out a novel method for closure following abdominal surgery on patients upon whom direct primary suture of the laparotomy cannot be performed. Concretely, the kit comprises elastic strips (1) suitable for attaching to the edges of the wound; and means (2) for attaching the elastic strips (1) to the edges of the wound, the attaching means (2) being designed to only attach to the patient's skin without going through the fasica, unlike in the current ABRA system.
