PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric control type mechanical clock that is able to securely actuate a rotation controller when an electric generator is started.SOLUTION: An electronic control type mechanical clock comprises: an electric generator 2 configured to supply electric energy by being driven by a mechanical energy source (spiral spring 1); a power source circuit 6 charged with electrical energy; an oscillation signal generation source (a crystal oscillator 71A) configured to generate an oscillation signal fs1 by being driven by electric energy supplied from a power source circuit 6; and a rotation controller 7 configured to control a rotation period of the electric generator 2 by being driven by electric energy supplied from the power source circuit 6. The rotation controller 7 includes a brake control device 74 configured to exert brake control for the electric generator 2; and a braking/non-braking control device 75 configured such that when the start of oscillation by the oscillation signal generation source is not detected, the non-braking state of the electric generator 2 is maintained, and when the start of the oscillation is detected, brake control for the electric generator 2 by the brake control device 74 is exerted. |
