PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a wireless terminal to receive content data from a base station other than the base station of the wireless terminal even when the wireless terminal cannot receive the content data from the base station of the wireless terminal. SOLUTION: A wireless communication system 1 includes a plurality of wireless base stations 21 to 23 and a wireless terminal 40. The wireless terminal 40 receives notification information from at least the base station of the wireless terminal 40 or one of the other base stations. Then, on the basis of the notification information, the wireless terminal 40 recognizes whether the content data can be transmitted in at least the cell of the base station of the wireless terminal 40 or the cell of one of the other base stations.
