PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag folding method that allows an airbag to be simply folded even if configured to fold the airbag in a state that the restraint center part is placed on the upper-surface sides of folded lump parts. SOLUTION: An airbag is folded through first and second folding processes. In the first folding process, the airbag is flatly deployed after placing the occupant-side wall part on the vehicle body-side wall part. The occupant-side wall part is previously formed with a protruding folding part 65 composed of an excess thickness part 64 and including the restraint center part 43. One-side folded lump part 71 and the other-side folded lump part 72 respectively formed by folding one-side one edge part and the other-side one edge part are formed on both sides of the protruding folding part 65. The protruding folding part 65 is placed on the upper-surfaces 71a, 72a of the one-side folded lump part and the other-side folded lump part together with the restraint center part 43 after flatly deploying the protruding folding part.
