The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for displaying the state information of a service supplied to an external output device through NFC in an electronic device. The method for displaying the state information of the service includes the steps of transmitting image data to the external output device through NFC; checking an error about the image data; and displaying the error about the image data on a display unit.
