PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of retardation film which can manufacture a retardation film with excellent adhesiveness to another film more easily than the conventional method. SOLUTION: A retardation film is manufactured through a step (A) of stretching a thermoplastic resin film to obtain a stretched film 10 and a step (B) of heating the stretched film 10 to selectively reduce a plane orientation factor of a surface 11 of the stretched film 10.
