an input unit configured to input an instruction to change a parameter of the external apparatus; a sending unit configured to, in a case where the instruction input by the input unit is an instruction to change a plurality of types of parameters of the external apparatus, send a plurality of control signals for changing the plurality of types of parameters of the external apparatus to the external apparatus based on the plurality of types of the parameters to be changed; and a control unit configured to, in a case where the instruction input by the input unit is an instruction to change the plurality of types of parameters of the external apparatus, control a sending order of the plurality of control signals, wherein, among the plurality of types of parameters which are in a subordinate relationship, the control unit performs control to send a control signal for changing a parameter having a higher order in the subordinate relationship prior to a control signal for changing a parameter having a lower order in the subordinate relationship.
