A battery module includes an electrode assembly; a collector part which is electrically boned to the electrode assembly; a cap plate which covers a case which receives the electrode assembly and the collector part, has a terminal insertion part which is vertically penetrated, and has a safety vent; a terminal part which has a terminal plate which is exposed to the outside of the case and a connection part which penetrates the terminal part to connect the collector part and the terminal plate; and a fixing member which fixes the terminal part to the cap plate. The cap plate includes the safety vent and a groove pattern for damping vibration in an adjacent region.
