An objective of the present invention is to control dimming of an LED by providing a dimming controller including a variable resistor to vary a variable resistance value. To this end, there is provided a dimming controllable LED lighting apparatus including: a power source to supply input power; a rectifying circuit to receive the input power from the power source and output rectified power; an LED unit having a plurality of LED channels serially connected and a resistor unit connected to the last end of the LED channels; a dimming controller including a variable resistor to control a dimming of the LED channels by controlling a current flowing through the LED unit; and a switch circuit including a plurality of switches, in which an n^th switch is connected to the back end of an n^th LED channel to control an operation of the LED channel and the n^th switch is controlled by the sum of currents of the n^th switch and an (n+1)^th switch flowing through the variable resistor.
