A mixer with a DC motor with a reducing gear is coupled to a speed control circuit. An output shaft from the reducing gear is coupled to a hub drive gear which meshes with a planetary drive gear coupled to a rotary output drive to which mixing implements are removably attached.

a motor housing; a DC motor positioned in said housing, said motor having an output shaft; a reducing gearbox coupled to said output shaft of said motor and including a drive shaft; a hub gear rotatably coupled to said housing and coupled to said drive shaft to rotate with said drive shaft; and a planetary gear coupled to a shaft rotatably mounted to said housing to mesh with said hub gear and provide an output drive for a mixing implement.
