PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for starting a fuel cell system capable of shortening start time by suppressing degradation caused when a fuel cell is started.SOLUTION: A method for starting a fuel cell system 10 includes the steps of: acquiring hydrogen concentration at an anode 11A (hydrogen concentration acquisition step); determining whether the hydrogen concentration acquired by the hydrogen concentration acquisition step is not less than a prescribed second threshold value M2 (threshold value determination step); and setting a pressure of the hydrogen supplied from a hydrogen tank 21 to the anode 11A when hydrogen is supplied from the hydrogen tank 21 to the anode 11A in a cutoff state of a contactor 39 (start-time pressure setting step). When the threshold determination step determines that the hydrogen concentration is not less than the prescribed second threshold value M2, the start-time pressure setting step sets the hydrogen pressure to not more than a prescribed pressure #PH2FCCHKN in normal power generation executed after the fuel cell system 10 is started. When the threshold value determination step determines that the hydrogen concentration is less than the prescribed second threshold value M2, the start-time pressure setting step sets the hydrogen pressure to be higher than the prescribed pressure #PH2FCCHKN. |
