A method and system to transfer payment to a seller of a network-based commerce transaction are described herein. The method includes performing a risk evaluation based on retrieved seller-specific data, and releasing funds from a holding account to the seller based on the risk evaluation.

retrieve data specific to a seller,perform a risk evaluation based on the retrieved data specific to the seller,determine, using at least one of the one or more hardware processors, timing for release of at least a portion of the funds from a holding account based on the risk evaluation, andrelease at least the portion of the funds from the holding account to the seller based on the determined timing.
