The present invention is to provide a valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine, which can prevent a torsion spring from falling off without installing a new separate structure for the purpose of only prevention of the falling off of the torsion spring. The present invention interposes a torsion spring (20) between a timing sprocket (11) rotating with a crank shaft and a driven member (13) rotating integrally with a cam shaft (10), to dispose the torsion spring (20) in a cylindrical accommodating space (26) having a floor which is formed between the radial directions of both members (11, 13), and to close an open end of the accommodating space (26) by a stopper plate (16) which is used to limit a relative rotation angle range of both the members (11, 13). |
