The method involves evaluating the radar echo signals as radar data, where the radar echo signals are transferred from a direct signal path between a radar device (R) and reflected objects (O1-O4) located in the environment. The radar echo signals are transferred from an indirect signal path with deflection at a road surface between the radar device and the reflected objects. An assignment- and movement map of the environment is generated from the radar data, where the map comprises object positions and object movements.
