PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling endpoints of a spiral spring to be accurately identified using a photographed image of the spiral spring.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: image input means for inputting a photographic image obtained by photographing a spiral spring; outline extraction means for extracting an outline of the spiral spring from the input photographic image; endpoint candidate extraction means for extracting a plurality of endpoint candidates on at least one of the end faces of the spiral spring based on the extracted outline; endpoint pair candidate creation means for creating a plurality of endpoint pair candidates constituted by two endpoint candidates selected from the plurality of the extracted endpoint candidates; and endpoint pair selection means for selecting a single pair of endpoint candidates from among the plurality of created endpoint pair candidates as two endpoints on the at least one of end faces of the spiral spring.
