PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing result from varying largely according to the direction of paper feeding.SOLUTION: The image forming device for printing on a printing medium fed from a paper feed tray includes: a paper feed tray selection unit for selecting a tray storing printing media on the basis of information indicating the size included in print data; an edit range setting unit for, on the basis of the direction of the printing media stored in the selected paper feed tray, analyzing the print data, and setting the edit range of the print data; a drawing unit for, on the basis of the print data and the edit range, creating image data in the edit range; and an image forming unit for printing the image data created by the drawing unit on a printing medium fed from the paper feed tray selected at the paper feed tray selection unit. When a medium having the size of the print data cannot be printed, the paper feed tray selection unit regards a medium of a predetermined medium condition different from the size of the print data as a medium to be printed with the size of the print data. |
