PURPOSE: An electrophoretic particle of low specific gravity, a manufacturing method thereof, and an electrophoretic display device are provided to make response speed fast and relatively increase content of inorganic particles. CONSTITUTION: A core unit includes a polymer. The polymer includes an acrylate type repeating unit or a vinyl type repeating unit in which at least one functional group is substituted. The functional group is selected among an alkyl group with 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an arkenyl group with 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group of with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, an arylalkyl group with 7 to 30 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group with 4 to 20 carbon atoms, an amide group in which an alkyl group with 1 to 20 carbon atoms is substituted or not substituted, and an alkoxycarbonyl group with 1 to 20 carbon atoms. White or colored inorganic particles are coupled with a surface of the core unit. |
