Disclosed are an electronic device for judging a fault of a printed circuit board comprising a memory having terminating resistance and a control part controlling the operation of the memory without additional measurement equipment and a control method thereof. The disclosed electronic device by the present invention comprises a printed circuit board having fixed impedance; a memory which is prepared on the printed circuit board and has the terminating resistance and in which an initial resistance value is set to be matched with the impedance of the printed circuit board; and a control part which performs data communications with the memory by being installed on the printed circuit board, controls the memory to operate by changing the resistance value of the terminating resistance, and judges a fault of the printed circuit board according as the memory operates normally. Therefore, the present invention can improve economic feasibility and convenience according to measurement time reduction because a tester can judge the fault of the printed circuit board without using measurement equipment directly.
