A method for controlling a motor (30) to enable drive assist of an engine (60) with a high torque in a low rotation speed range as well as synchronized driving in a high rotation speed range. The method includes controlling a motor (30) connected to a low voltage battery (20). The motor (30) has a reluctance torque higher than a magnetic torque at a time of a highest torque generation. The motor (30) includes a rotor (31) connected to an output shaft (61) of an engine (60).
