A toy horse drawn vehicle comprises a horse figure of which the fore legs J, K are secured together at a fixed angle and are pivoted to the body of the horse at point A. Rear legs L, M are mounted in like manner, and levers C, D respectively attached to legs J, L, are connected to rods N, O, actuated by a double opposed crank shaft driven by a motor, e.g. clockwork. A rod P secured to the rear of the horse's body engages one of the cranks of the double-crank shaft and causes the horse to rock on spindle E such that each pair of legs is lifted clear of the ground during its forward movement and a gallop simulated.</p> |
