A method for matching technical needs to solutions includes the use of an innovation exchange network to receive a project description having at least one unmet technical need, wherein the unmet technical need is described by a plurality of parameters. Project categorizations are assigned to the project description based on the project description and the parameters. The project description is posted for review by participating experts. One or more of the participating experts are identified as having expertise potentially relevant to the project description based upon the assigned project categorizations. Those identified participating experts are notified of the posted project description. The innovation exchange network then receives a proposed solution to the unmet technical need from one or more of the participating experts. |
