1. A computer program product including a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions for causing a computer to implement a checksum calculation, prediction and validation method, the method comprising:
receiving a portion of a data packet in a data buffer, the portion of the data packet including all data headers of the data packet and a subset of all data of the data packet; computing information related to the checksum of the data headers via a first engine of the data packet based on the portion of the data packet; computing an expected full checksum of all data in the data packet; and processing the data packet in a processor, wherein the data packet is received in a reception data buffer, and wherein an actual checksum of the data packet is received in the reception data buffer.
