A device for the determination of traffic intensity at signal controlled intersection relates to traffic control systems and can be used in the development of automated traffic control systems, in the systems of intersection traffic congestion information support, and to improving traffic control efficiency at signal controlled intersections. The device comprises a scanning unit comprising a laser emitter of directed infrared beam, sweeping unit, discrete scanistor and block of photoreceivers, converter of photoreceivers signal of corresponding band, computer and signal light object. Additionally it comprises second discrete scanistor, n-1signal converters, OR gate and counting decoder. The device makes it possible to determine real traffic intensity at each traffic lane during signal control cycle, to obtain total complex of information on traffic flow at intersection zone for monitoring and further traffic light signalling control. |
