A method for fixing an electric motor fan protective housing comprises use of fasteners inserted in holes of a side wall of electric motor fan protective housing. Washers are placed in connecting threads for fixing an electric motor back cover to a ribbed housing, each of which has at least one shelve perpendicular to the washer surface, which fits into a space between the edges of connecting thread for fixing the electric motor back cover to the electric motor ribbed housing and adjacent rib of electric motor housing in a such way that the shelve external surface is located at a level providing location thereof in built-up condition inside of the fan protective housing installed in place. The electric motor fan protective housing is put on the back cover of fan, the fasteners are installed in the corresponding holes for fasteners, which are made in the shelves perpendicular to the washer surface and side wall of electric motor fan protective housing.
