Disclosed are an access point (AP) address bandwidth setting system and an AP address bandwidth setting method that can automatically set an IP address bandwidth for an AP not to collide with another neighboring AP. The AP address bandwidth setting system according to the present invention comprises the following: an AP scanning unit which scans neighboring APs in a wireless network and collects service set identifier (SSID) information from the scanned APs; an AP determining unit which determines the number of neighboring APs by analyzing mac addresses in the SSID; an IP address bandwidth receiving unit which receives an IP address bandwidth by requesting each of the APs determined as the neighboring APs to provide the IP address bandwidth; and an IP address bandwidth setting unit which sets the AP with a new IP address bandwidth that does not collide with the received IP address bandwidth. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a smooth roaming service by automatically setting a unique IP address bandwidth not causing a collision for each of the APs in a wireless network. |
