The present invention relates to a display device, and in particular, to a method for correcting a frequency and a display device using the same, capable of correcting a frequency of a frame synchronization signal generated from an oscillator, which is embedded in a main driver manufactured in an integrated circuit (IC) form, by comparing the frequency of the frame synchronization signal with a reference frequency. For this purpose, the method for correcting a frequency according to the present invention comprises the steps of receiving a frame synchronization signal generated by the main driver of the initialized display device; determining whether the frequency of the frame synchronization signal is equal to the reference frequency of the reference frame synchronization signal; and when the frequency of the frame synchronization signal is different from the reference frequency, storing change information in the main driver, whereby the oscillator provided in the main driver can use the change information which is capable of changing the frequency of the frame synchronization signal to be matched with the reference frequency. |
