PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, by targeting particles for manufacturing a nuclear fuel pellet obtained by pulverizing a denitrified body prepared by microwave heating, pulverized particles having, for the purpose of manufacturing a pellet having an unprecedentedly high sintering density, an average particle diameter of the submicron level and, by regulating the maximal particle diameter thereof at a low level, a narrow particle diameter distribution; and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The volume average particle diameter and volume maximal particle diameter the particles of the present invention for manufacturing a nuclear fuel pellet obtained by storing, within a denitrifying container, a uranyl nitrate solution or a mixed solution of uranyl nitrate and plutonium nitrate, by providing a denitrified body by heating the stored solution with microwaves, and by pulverizing the denitrified body are respectively 1μm or less and 10μm or less. The particles of the present invention for manufacturing a nuclear fuel pellet are manufactured by positioning, on at least the bottom plane of a denitrifying container, a microwave-absorbing component having a heat conductivity equivalent to or lesser than that of the denitrifying container and then heating the same with microwaves.
|
