Also, an input apparatus that has row electrodes and column electrodes obtained by patterning a metal grid layer by forming disconnects in metal wires constituting said metal grid layer, wherein at each point where one of the metal wires (Mw2) constituting the metal grid layer (Lp2) intersects an ideal outline (Sp2) for a grid column electrode, said metal wire is cut in the width direction thereof so as to minimize the area of the disconnect going through that metal wire.
