SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING PRESENTATION EVENT USING DEPTH INFORMATION

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing a presentation event using depth information, which can realize a presentation event by extracting a three-dimensional motion of a hand from data inputted from a depth camera and an RGB camera in order to process the presentation event. To process a presentation event using depth information, the apparatus includes a depth camera and an RGB camera which are arranged at positions where all of the screen area is included; a hand coordinate extracting unit which extracts hand coordinates from a depth image and an RGB image obtained by the depth camera and the RGB camera; an event determining unit which determines an event area for processing the presentation event; and an event executing unit which executes an event when the hand of a presenter touches the event area.
